Summer Snow Dr. is a design-build project, i.e. I was the architect and builder of this project. It is an an extension of a single family residence into its own attic.
The extension houses a new bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet as well as a study nook.
Despite the tight budget and space, all the areas, including the bathroom, are well lit either with skylights or windows.
The study nook enjoys the warm sunlight.
A creative way to stay code compliant and within budget is to use rope in your stair risers and handrails.
